Personal Experience: My Stay at Three Different 3-Star Hotels in Kolkata

When planning my trip to Kolkata, I wanted to balance comfort with affordability, so I decided to stay at three different 3-star hotels in Kolkata. There are many great options, including Hotel Lemon Tree Premiere Kolkata, Hotel Pearl Tree Express, Hotel Platinum, Hotel Comfotel, and many more that offer a comfortable stay. Each hotel provided a unique experience, and I am excited to share my personal experiences and insights. If you're looking for recommendations on the best 3-star hotels in Kolkata, my journey might help you choose the right place for your stay.

1. First Stop: It was decided that the hotel to be considered would be ‘Hotel A’ and that the analysis would focus on its initial impression to travelers in Central Kolkata.

My first was at Hotel A which is situated in central business district of Kolkata, particularly around Park Street. Since the hotel falls under the category of the 3-star hotel it was ranked as one of the most preferred accommodation facilities in Kolkata. They received me at the reception and the front desk was so friendly to hasten my check in. It was small and simple, but hygiene was not an issue here; the bed was good, linens were clean and the facilities ranged from TV, a kettle, and Wi-Fi.

Location of the hotel proved to be perfect for moving around central Kolkata. It was a plus for me to walk out the door and visit some tourist attractions like the Indian Museum, St. Paul’s Cathedral not to mention the food joints on Park Street. However, one would notice that the most emphasized feature was the free continental breakfast. It comprised of local and continental breakfast which was nice for me in the morning.

Pros of Hotel A:

Good strategic position to strategic destinations.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Decent breakfast options.

Cons of Hotel A

Small rooms that many travelers would not like especially when travelling in large groups.

2. Second Stay: Hotel B based in the South Kolkata provides luxurious and comfortable accommodation to tourists and visitors at an affordable price. I then shifted to the third Location in South Kolkata known as Hotel B. This hotel had much younger feel to it as opposed to the previous hotel. It constitutes one of the highly recommended three-star hotels in Kolkata and was near Kalighat Temple and South City Mall hence; tourists with interests in both historical and commercial tourism visited the hotel.

The rooms at Hotel B were large and the decor was modern the furniture also looked comfortable. The other facility in its room featured a mini bar, coffee maker and an ergonomic working desk that came in handy whenever I had to catch up on some work. It also had a small gym that had all basic facilities which were appropriate for the gym lovers like me.

Among the cosy establishments that can be found within, I found the rooftop restaurant with excellent views of city outline. Despite the restaurant’s vast and diverse selection of Indian and continental food I particularly foods I liked the Bengali dishes.

Pros of Hotel B:

Spacious and modern rooms.

The main advantage is good location close to the shop and other interesting centers.

It was necessary to design a interior of the restaurant and it is located on the roof of the building with a views at the city.

Cons of Hotel B:

The gym was very compact and filled lots of people probably during the busiest after work periods.

3. Final Stay: Hotel C – A Place for Relaxation Located in North Kolkata

Finally, I selected Hotel C which is one of the less noisy 3 Star hotels in Kolkata and is situated in North part of Kolkata. The different impression of the stay at the Hotel C was provided by its location in the countryside which is far from the noise of the city. The hotel was located close to the Marble Palace which was an exquisite structure and also close to College Street which had old world look.

The room that was provided at Hotel C was large enough and the interior design and furnishing gave it a vintage real North Kolkata look. The hotel offered all the basic accommodation facilities such as television, air conditioning, and internet but the special attraction was a small library placed in the lobby. Being a huge fan of books, I liked the fact that there is always some secluded area where I could sit and read after a day of wandering around the sightseeing.

They also provided free shuttle services to some of the attraction sites around the same area, which was also nice. But of course, unlike the previous hotels, there were limited choices in terms the kinds of food that were served, and the choices were very simple when ordering food from within the room.

Pros of Hotel C:

Quiet area and I got many rest.

Luxury rooms with what would best be described as heritage style.

Shuttle services that may be offered for free for pick up from places of interest in the vicinity.

Cons of Hotel C:

Limited dining options on-site.

Less equipped with modern hotel facilities as compared to other hotels.

Conclusion:

My View on 3 Star Hotels in Kolkata. In the present report, i had stayed in three different three star hotels in Kolkata to compare the services provided by each of them. To make it easier for you to decide, Hotel A was ideal for the travelers who want to get more of the city’s nightlife and attractions nearby. Instead Hotel B provided all the necessities of a contemporary hotel and was situated in the area that could be labeled as both classic and commercial. On the other hand, the relatively low key Hotel C was perfect for those who wanted to escape the hustle and bustle but still wanted a taste of Calcutta’s history.

They are all 3-star hotels in Kolkata, of course, but each of them targeted the kind of travelers they thought would find them the most useful. From location, modern facilities to not so noisy and crowded areas, Kolkata has all kinds of stays for those who are hunting for it.
